The EZ Search Manager
provides three ready-to-go user interfaces you can use to provide searching
capabilities royalty free within your Microsoft Access
application. Call a search interface from any form to filter the form or
call the search interface to modify the row source for any combo or list
box. Include our Advanced Search engine in your application so your users
can create and save their own searches as well.

Run the EZ Search
Manager from any form button or event. It can filter a form, display
matching records or change the row source of a list/combo box. You can even
use the EZ Search Manager’s generic datasheet form to search any table or
query. All interfaces are customizable with
little or no programming!
The EZ Search Manager features
include:
- Use the EZ Search interface as-is with any table
or query without any programming changes
- Call the interfaces multiple times within an
application with no changes
- Save and retrieve frequently used searches by
name and the table/query they are based on
- Create complex query statements with ease
- Can be called by another form as a filter
- Can be called by a combo box or list box on a
form and will change the row source of the list
- Can be called by itself to search tables and
queries using a generic datasheet form
- Include complex criteria like ‘between
inclusive’, ‘between exclusive’, ‘contains’, etc.
- Add the correct syntax to criteria expressions
- Automatically fill in dates specified as today,
first of the month, end of the month, etc.
- Has a built in pop-up calendar for easy entry of
dates
- Provide the developer with a flexible ready-to-go
interface to handle complex database inquiries
The EZ Search Manager contains three
different search interfaces that provide different functionality based on a
particular situation.
 Smart Search
– The Smart Search dialog lets you use a single form
for an unlimited number of searches with different user forms. You begin
with any form you create and add a link to the Smart Search dialog. This
dialog provides a simple interface with up to eight predefined table stored
searches for each form. The user can specify which search and then start
entering the data being searched for.
 Advanced Search
–
The Advanced Search dialog provides a powerful and flexible search
interface. With it you can find just about anything using simple or complex
criteria. The criteria you enter is done with very easy to use selection
fields and the interface takes care of all the syntax that is necessary. An
unlimited number of searches can be saved and retrieved. Searches are saved
by name with the criteria and the table/query they are based on.
 Flex Search
– The Flex Search dialog is also table driven with up
to five fields displayed and used for the search. The user can change any of
the fields on the form dynamically and the fields selected will be
remembered the next time the form is opened. The data displayed can be
sorted by pressing the column heading. A single criteria can be entered
based on the fields to be searched.
